Gas and LPG Systems
For the safety of all guests at Türlersee Campsite, strict guidelines apply to LPG systems. Gas is an essential component of camping comfort, but also carries risks that can be minimized through correct handling and regular inspections. All campers are required to comply with the following safety regulations to ensure a safe and relaxing stay for everyone.
Gas Bottle Regulations at the Campsite
Important Notice: Throughout the entire camping area, only plastic gas bottles are permitted. Metal gas bottles are not allowed for safety reasons and must be exchanged for plastic bottles before arrival.
Safety Check Before Operation
Before you may operate your LPG system at the campsite, you must be able to answer all the following questions with "Yes". If even one question must be answered with "No", the use of the gas system is prohibited:
- Is a control certificate or inspection sticker present?
The gas system must be inspected by a qualified person and provided with a valid inspection sticker. - Were the gas appliances installed by a qualified professional?
Self-installations are not permitted. All components must be professionally installed. - Do gas bottle connections and pressure regulator connections match?
Use only compatible connections and never adapters or makeshift solutions. - Is the gas hose not brittle, cracked, or porous?
Gas hoses must be in perfect condition and regularly replaced. - Are all vehicle ventilation slots open to the outside?
Adequate ventilation is essential for safe operation.

Storage and Transport
- Always transport and store gas bottles upright
- Protect from direct sunlight and overheating
- Never store gas bottles in enclosed spaces below ground level
- Maintain adequate distance from ignition sources
Maintenance and Care
- Regular visual inspections of the entire gas system
- Replace gas hoses regularly or when damaged
- Have pressure regulators regularly checked by qualified personnel
- In case of gas smell, immediately extinguish all flames and close main valve
Emergency Measures
In case of gas alarm or suspected gas leak: Immediately extinguish all flames, close main valve, ventilate area well, and do not operate electrical devices. Immediately inform the campsite management and contact the local fire department if necessary.
